Scopus is the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources. CWTS and SCImago use Scopus data to calculate, respectively, their SNIP and SJR values. This benefits the metrics, as they are calculated on the largest possible database, and users, as the database can be accessed for deeper research purposes, such as author information, and citing articles and references. Scopus is proud that two leading authorities have chosen to use its data, and it endorses them in its own Journal Analyzer.
For Scopus users, SNIP and SJR have been integrated into Journal Analyzer. This allows you to select up to 10 journals in a specific field. The results are uploaded into graphs, making it easy to see how journals are performing relative to each other. SNIP and SJR values can also be viewed per journal in the 'Sources' tab.
